So I finished another coat of filler primer and let it dry.  There were still some slight imperfections such as visible print lines and such.  They were small and I debated if I should spend more time on prep to get the surface perfect before I painted.

As you can see, my impatience won and I busted out a can of Rustoleum Metallic Silver.  I put 2 coats on with about an hour dry time between each.  As you can see, it turned out pretty good.  I still notice some imperfections that show through, but they’re small and I don’t think anyone but a builder would notice.  

Next up, I need to work on the panels and greebles.  I’m not really sure why they’re called greebles, but those are the detail pieces like the radar eye.  I have most of them sanded, but there’s still some work to do on that…
