Mounting the radar eye

Posted: December 16, 2017 Under: Assembly

So mounting the radar eye is a little more complicated than you would think.  First, exactly where are you going to mount it.  For those that are die hard Artoo-Detoo fans, you know that the location changed from movie to movie and sometimes from scene to scene.  I found this video on youtube that will … Continue reading "Mounting the radar eye"

When I painted my dome, it didn’t occur to me to tape off any of the points of contact between the dome and the panels.  I had to come back with some sand paper and remove the paint to make sure the acetone weld would work. I also bought some silver leaf buff n rub … Continue reading "Dome assembly!"

About This Site

I’ve loved Star Wars since I was a kid. Over the years, I’ve been amazed by the people who have constructed their own astromech droids.  As I search the internet, many of those people posted information in order to help others construct one of their own.  I am in no way an expert and will be learning as I go, but hopefully, this can be a resource those that are starting their own droid project.
